Hundreds run naked into the ocean to celebrate the winter solstice
in the Southern Hemisphere, Australia. That is what a bunch of brave
souls in Tasmania did on Monday, June 22, to celebrate the winter
solstice.
The naked dip follows a tradition in places such as Antarctica,
where it is a custom to plunge into icy water to welcome the light after
the longest night.
